The new ace series of USB3 Vision cameras offer fantastic value. This model is built on a CMOSIS progressive scan 2/3" size CMOS having 2048 x 1088 pixel resolution. It delivers up to 165 frames per second at full resolution, and this USB3 camera is even smaller than Basler's GigE models.
With USB3 Vision, a single cable is used to apply camera power and to transfer data between this camera and a PC, keeping cable runs to a minimum. An auxiliary connector is provided for terminating the input and output signals – there is a total of four.
The Basler ace provides a full set of features to address a wide range of applications. Pixel data can be output in 8 or 12 bit depth. You may adjust the camera’s black level, gain, area of interest, input debounce, and trigger delay. It features automatic exposure control, pixel binning, horizontal image mirroring, event reporting, sending of test images, and a programmable lookup table. There are also “chunk” features that include a frame counter, time stamp, trigger input counter, and CRC checksum calculator. Note that not all features may be available when using third-party software.
Because this camera is USB3 Vision and GenICam complaint, there are many third party software applications and API’s that are compatible. Basler offers their royalty-free Pylon SDK for 32 and 64 bit Windows and Linux platforms.

This camera's sensor measures 12.75 mm diagonal. If you use the full sensor, some vignetting may be visible when combined with a 2/3 size (11 mm) lens. We recommend our LSKA22_ lenses for most installations.
