The Basler a2A5328-22g5cBAS camera delivers 24.4 MP color images at 22 frames per second via the 5GigE interface. The Sony IMX540 image sensor with 2.74 µm pixels and a global shutter enable excellent image quality.
This Basler ace 2 5GigE camera provides roughly five times the bandwidth of standard GigE cameras. That can mean higher resolution images delivered at higher frame rates. Bandwidth is comparable to USB 3.0 (now called USB 3.1 Gen1) but cables runs can be up to 100 meters long.
Despite the higher bandwidth, this Basler camera is compact at just 29 x 29 x 62 mm in size. Rear connectors include an RJ45 port (with support for screw-lock cables) and an M8 6-pin female connector for power and I/O. Power-over-Ethernet is not supported.
This Basler ace 2 Basic camera includes all the features that most installations require. Features include flexible triggering, pixel binning, 8/10/12 bit formats, burst triggering, automatic gain and exposure, PTP IEEE-1588 support, and much more.
Because this camera is GigE Vision and GenICam compliant, there are many third party software applications and API’s that are compatible. Basler offers their royalty-free Pylon SDK with support for most operating systems.
