This UV LED ring light has a 100 mm outer diameter, ideal for imaging small parts.
The Leimac IDHR ultraviolet LED ring lights are used to create contrast where little to none exists under visible light. Compared with halogen light sources, these LEDs are compact, efficient, stable, and run cool. Pair with a PWM controller (sold separately) for precise intensity control.
UV light is typically combined with visible light cameras to image fluorescing materials. The LED's peak wavelength should correspond to the excitation wavelength of your fluorescing material. A bandpass filter should be selected based on your material's emission wavelengths.
The IDHR lights are available in 365, 375, 385, 395 and 405 nm models. You can choose either a narrow or wide projection angle.
Take precautions when working around ultraviolet lights. Do not look directly into the light, or light reflected from mirror-like surfaces. Wear UV-blocking protective goggles. Do not apply power to the light while it is pointed into someone's eyes. Wear a long-sleeve shirt and gloves to protect skin from UV illumination.
