This 77 mm UV LED bar light is typically used for direct illumination from the front, although it can also be used as a long, narrow back-light.
The Leimac IDBB-CH ultraviolet LED bar lights are used to create contrast where little to none exists under visible light. Compared with halogen light sources, these bright LEDs are compact, efficient, stable, and run cool. Pair with a PWM controller (sold separately) for precise intensity control.
UV light is often combined with visible light cameras to image fluorescing materials. UV lights are also used with UV cameras in order to better detect fine surface scratches. Ask us about an appropriate bandpass filter to further enhance contrast.
You can choose either a narrow or wide projection angle. The wide projection angle produces diffuse, even illumination, especially at shorter working distances. The narrow projection angle includes lenses in front of each LED to produce more focused, intense illumination, especially at longer working distances.
Take precautions when working around ultraviolet lights. Do not look directly into the light, or light reflected from mirror-like surfaces. Wear UV-blocking protective goggles. Do not apply power to the light while it is pointed into someone's eyes. Wear a long-sleeve shirt and gloves to protect skin from UV illumination.
