The Leimac IDD-CB120/30DW-16CH light enables flexible, precision inspection of small parts.
This LED direct dome light has 16 independent channels. You can illuminate objects from any combination of four directions and four elevations. This is useful in revealing flaws and object features that would not otherwise be visible.
For example, an object can first be imaged using low-angle light to reveal edges and scratches. Then a second image can be captured using light more perpendicular to the object surface, which may better illuminate printed text. The combination of light direction and elevation can be customized to each part type that is imaged. Or, multiple images can be combined using photometric stereo techniques.
