The Basler r2L16384-120cm CoaXPress 2.0 camera with the GPixel GL3516 CMOS line scan sensor delivers up 120 kHz at 16k resolution. The sensor has two lines that can work together to delivery time-delay integration ("TDI") or high-dynamic range ("HDR") functionality for improved image fidelity. Note that the maximum line rate varies with the triggering method, exposure time, and the number of pixel lines employed.
Basler racer 2 line scan cameras are a good choice for factory automation inspection applications that need both high speeds and high image quality. Racer 2 cameras have a compact, slim industrial housing. The racer 2 cameras have a CoaXPress CXP-12 interface and comply with the CoaXPress 2.0 standard.
CoaXPress 2.0 offers bandwidths up to 12.5 Gbps per cable. In addition to transmitting data, CoaXPress data cables can also power the camera using Power over CoaXPress (PoCXP), eliminating the need for a separate power cable. Note that bandwidth is a function of the cable length.
Because the racer 2 cameras are CoaXPress 2.0 compliant, there are many hardware and software components that are compatible. Basler offers their own CoaXPress frame grabbers and Pylon software for 64-bit Windows and Linux platforms. Zebra Aurora Imaging Library and Aurora Design Assistant are also compatible when using the Zebra Rapixo frame grabber. And many other suppliers support CoaXPress cameras.
