Zebra Matrox Rapixo CXP

CoaXPress 2.0 frame grabber

CoaXPress 2.0
1, 2 or 4 cameras
Power-over-CoaXPress (PoCXP)
Up to 50 Gbps using quad link aggregation
Optional FPGA
Optional image forwarding

The Matrox Rapixo CXP camera interface card supports CoaXPress 2.0 with acquisition rates up to either 6.25 Gbps or 12.5 Gbps per connection. The card features one, two, or four CXP connections that can either be aggregated for greater bandwidth, or connected to independent cameras.

Each connection is accessed through a high-density BNC connector. Power-over-CoaXPress is supported for simplified wiring. Genicam compliance ensures a familiar, straight-forward experience.

A full array of auxiliary I/O is provided, including TTL I/O, LVDS inputs, LVDS outputs, and opto-isolated inputs. GPIO cable adapters sold separately.

IMAGE FORWARDING

Some models feature image forwarding to enable distributed processing and display. Four output connections running at 12.5 Gbps will forward images with minimal latency, and without host computer involvement. Computers with Matrox Rapixo CXP cards can be daisy-chained to share the load of processing large volumes of image data.

FPGA

Optional Xilinx Kintex Ultrascale KU035 or KU060 FPGA with active heatsink (fansink) is available. This enables HLS development via C++ in Visual Studio. These options require the Matrox FDK and Xilinx Vivado® Design suite, which are sold separately.

ABOUT COLOR CAMERAS

The Rapixo offers on-board debayering of color images to significantly reduce CPU load. (See our benchmark test results in the Resources section below.)

INCLUDED

The Rapixo includes the CXP board. Single and dual boards have one or two HD-15 connectors for the auxiliary I/O, respectively. The quad boards have mDP connectors for the auxiliary I/O, with one mDP-to-HD15 adapter cable included. You may wish to also purchase the accessory kit that includes an additional adapter cable and a dual HD-15 I/O bracket with ribbon cable.

ACQUISITION SOFTWARE

Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) is a comprehensive software development kit (SDK) for machine vision. It powers capture, manipulation and analysis of both 2D and 3D images.

MIL LITE is a software development kit that enables image capture, display, annotation, and archiving.

Matrox FPGA Development Kit (FDK) enables development of custom field-programmable gate array configurations.
