WE RECOMMEND THE CRNS805 AS A SUBSTITUTE. (There is a link in Resources below.)
This four-port PCI Express (PCIe x4) network adapter can power PoE cameras and other devices via the data cable. This saves the expense of purchasing, pulling and maintaining additional cables. Each port can deliver 15.4 W of power and 1000 Mb/s bandwidth over a CAT-5/CAT-6 cable of up to 100 meters.
This network adapter is ideal for high-bandwidth devices, such as machine vision cameras. The four Intel 82574L Ethernet controllers are independent, so traffic on one network does not interfere with traffic on the others. Each controller supports jumbo frames, up to 9 KB, for greater efficiency. Link aggregation ("teaming") is also supported.
This four-port adapter will need an external 12 VDC power supply, if it is used to power PoE devices. Typically, you can just connect your computer's power supply to the standard 4-pin connector on this board. The external power supply is not needed if you're not powering PoE devices.
We recommend use with our double-shielded CAT-6 cables.
