The Opto Engineering PT036-056 precision calibration pattern has an active area 64 x 51 mm.
All lenses, even precision telecentric lenses, introduce some image distortion. In addition, alignment tolerances between lenses and camera sensors, as well as between the camera and the part, reduce the overall accuracy of inspection systems. However, common software algorithms, combined with a precise calibration target, can reduce distortion to near zero.
This chrome-on-glass pattern, manufactured using photolithography, has high geometrical accuracy. When combined with appropriate software, it will maximize the accuracy of inspection and metrology systems.
This pattern has a chessboard layout. The optional calibration pattern holder (shown in background of photo above) is sold separately.
