Zebra Matrox Iris GTX5000

Iris GTX Smart Camera, 5.3 MP Monochrome

Full-featured smart camera
2592 x 2048 monochrome sensor
IP67 housing
Design Assistant software preinstalled

The Matrox® Iris GTX is a family of compact industrial smart cameras. Preinstalled with Design Assistant software, it becomes a powerful productive solution for automated inspection and robot guidance.

This camera model has a 5.3 MP (2592 x 2048 pixel) resolution monochrome sensor. The dual-core Celeron CPU has 4 GB of memory and 32 GB of eMMC storage

The Zebra Iris GTX hardware integrates all the features needed by demanding machine vision installations.

> High-performance CPU and FPGA

> Compact IP67 design for wet, dirty environments

> Four opto-coupled inputs with support for an incremental rotary encoder

> Three outputs

> Support for liquid lens focusing and light intensity control

> Gigabit Ethernet interface with optional PLC and robot protocols

> Connect a touchscreen monitor via VGA and USB ports for a cost-effective HMI

> Connect a web browser for remote HMI

DESIGN ASSISTANT

Aurora Design Assistant (“DA”) software enables you to quickly configure both the inspection tasks and operator interface screens. Inspection tasks are built using an intuitive flowchart -- No programming is required. There is a large pallet of tools for analyzing, locating, measuring, reading and verifying image features, including AI capability. The base version activates the basic tools, while the "plus" version activates all tools. (See the datasheet in Resources section below for details.) The advanced tools can also be activated later by purchasing runtime licenses as needed.

DA lets you create web-based operator interface panels. Simply connect a VGA monitor to view your panels. Connect a compatible touchscreen via the USB port provided. Or, view your panels from a web browser on a remote thin-client or mobile device.

LICENSES

When ordering you can choose either the "Basic" or "Plus" license pack. The DA IDE will be enabled while your computer is connected to the camera.

The Basic pack includes licenses for Machine Vision, Identification, Image Compression, Metrology, Color Analysis (color cameras models only), and Industrial/Robot Communications. If you need to use String Reader/SureDotOCR®, Geometric Model Finder, Registration or Classification tools, additional runtime licenses can be purchased separately.

We generally recommend the DA Plus pack, which includes access to all tools.

Developing an inspection flowchart or training a CNN context requires a DA development seat (SEMX302) sold separately.

MACHINE VISION STORE

Machine Vision Store can help you get started with DA. Zebra offers more comprehensive resources, including Vision Academy online training and on-site training, as well as phone and email support.
