Aurora Imaging Library (formerly Matrox Imaging Library) from Zebra Technologies is a comprehensive software development kit (SDK) for machine vision. It powers capture, manipulation and analysis of both 2D and 3D images.

Aurora Imaging Library includes tools for calibrating, enhancing and transforming images, locating objects, extracting and measuring features, reading character strings, and decoding and verifying identification marks.

> Pattern matching and geometric model finder

> Shape finding tools for circles, ellipses, rectangles, and line segments

> Feature extraction and analysis through Blob Analysis and Edge Finder

> Deep-learning AI for image classification, segmentation, detection and anomaly detection

> 1D and 2D measurements through Measurement, Bead inspection, and Metrology tools

> Color analysis through color distance, projection, matching, color-relative calibration (histogram, sample-to-sample, global mean variance)

> Character reading with powerful support for dot print characters with SureDotOCR, String Reader, and OCR/OCV tools

> 1D and 2D code reading and verification

> Registration through stitching, depth from focus, and photometric stereo tools

> 2D Calibration

> Image compression and video encoding

> 3D imaging tools: Profiling, alignment, and analysis with integration for third-party scanners and robots

Aurora Imaging Library also includes:

> CoPilot for prototype testing and code generation

> Vision Academy online training

> Vision Squad development support
